KJEwelry

Des Moines, Iowa

Announcement    Welcome to KJEwelry, featuring artisan-made and custom-designed jewelry. No two pieces are ever alike!

I specialize in semi-precious stones, precious metal clay (PMC), and wire-wrapping and use some of the best and unique stones I can find. All stones are hand-selected from vendors I have chosen from around the world. I also find new purpose for items like old coins and scrap copper in my work; they sell very quickly!

I have been a jewelry-lover my whole life and found myself buying unique jewelry items at art fairs. Wanting to find a new hobby, I began jewelry-making in 2003. I then found the precious metal clay product and have been hooked. I've completed the Level 1, 2 and 3 Certification courses and want to continuously learn the many ways to incorporate PMC into my jewelry. It is an amazing product. I create beautiful pendants by wire-wrapping due to my love for unique stones. I search for that one special stone each year while shopping at the numerous gem shows in Tucson and never bring home just one! I am also creating finer pieces of jewelry using wire (bangles and earring jackets) and have become addicted to Kumihimo. The Japanese braiding in both satin cord, leathers, and beads is fun and adds new dimensions to jewelry choices.

Custom orders are always welcome. I enjoy doing pieces for special events or just because! Just convo (email) me with your thoughts and we'll come up with something totally unique and just for you.
